The publisher decided not to publish anymore until we revise it. The book is full of exercises that encourage the students to refer to a dictionary to find the answers and indirectly using the dictionary in practice and learning new words. Although it was based on OELD, but we also used guides of Lonman, Collings & other Dictionary guides so that other dictionary users could also use them. This book is rather a WORKBOOK on how to use a dictionary more effectively. With the help of them, I based this book on OELD. My colleagues encouraged me to publish it as a book. I had a pamphlet on how to use Oxford Advanced Learners' Dictionary (OALD). It was written when the new edition of the Oxford Elementary Learners' Dictionary (OELD) was published in 1994. This book was written to encourage high school and college students to use English Dictionaries more effectively.
